foodhunt

Today was a amazingly tiring day. The few of us signed up for Food Hunt 2009 organised by NUS Arts Club and went around eating around Singapore. Haha. I didn't know they will be so enthusiastic and competitive about this game.

Apparently we have to go around Singapore looking for food specified by the organisers, and along the way we supposed to play some games and do some tasks. Speaking of which, we were stuck at Sudoku for at least 8 hours. Haha. Who says guys are good with numbers?

Anyway, we started off at Clementi for some Thaksin Beef Noodles, and I thought there was supposed to have some political meaning behind it. It turned out, it's just like any other beef noodles, like noodles with beef. Having an 'enthusiastic' facilitator like Alvyn, it was inevitable that we ending up feeling quite 'sianz' in the beginning. Then again, who knows, all of us came to life in the second half of the day. And so off we go to the many food stalls in Singapore, I was surprised at the size of the hawker centre at Chinatown. Let me try to recall, we patronised stalls like Frolic, 328 Katong Laska, Big Ben's Pies, XO Fish Bee Hoon at Holland Village, 2 times Chicken rice and many others. Also, we were supposed to take a picture of us at each store eating. Hahaha. There was so many dishes to finish that I thought I was going to have diarrhea at the end of the day. Oh wells I shall let the pictures do the talking.

It was raining heavily by the time we reached the East. Nonetheless, we perservered and went on with the hunt. What's more funny to see two guys sharing a flipped umbrella chasing another 3 guys in a downpour? We safely reached Bedok though.

We reached the end point around 6.30 p.m. It started to drizzle but we couldn't leave because the results couldn't be announced yet.

We really thought we were going to win something, at least after all the running, sweating and cursing. But then again, we weren't so lucky after all. Haha. Well, I guess nothing can be worse than hearing bad news after getting stuck in the rain for so long.

All in all, it was a good experience, at least we got to eat relatively good food for free. Haha. Although there's a registration fee involved but it seems like we have no intention of paying it. Haha. My legs are quite sore and I think getting a foot massage will give me maximum satisfaction now. Haha.

Though this might sound super mushy, but still.

I really love my girlfriend. <3
