lifted spirits

Work seemed to have reached a low point after today. Rushed finished much of the closing and caught up with the pace after missing work on Monday. Haha. As promised, here's the "Boss's Voodoo Doll".

Interesting, isn't it? Wei Chuan got it for us, when he happened to see it at Takashimaya. Haha. Its relatively relaxing for you to vent your frustrations on your 'boss'. Poking him here around with needles to see if it actually works. Haha. The face looked kind of sad already, but still, he's 'the boss'.

I liked the groin area the most. Haha.

Going to make this announcement to my close gang. Alvyn's going to have his birthday party on 13th June, and he needs response on whether you guys can make it. So please, reply to this, through any means and methods. If you guys want to send a pigeon, also can.

Talking about guys, there are people who said that I am more biased towards girls. And I showed more care and concern to them and don't bother much about guys. Hmm. I won't refute that assumption. But probably being in a boys' school for a decade has deeply inculcated a wrong mindset that guys are emotionally stronger, and to care for them make yourself look weird too, from a guys' point of view. Then again, that being said, it was eons ago, and probably childish-ness took the major part of it. Haha. I do know what is happening though, just that I choose to believe that they are more than capable of solving themselves. But, still. I will keep this in mind.

I read an article about how a China teacher 'braved all odds' and rushed out of a collapsing building alone during the disastrous earthquake in Si Chuan. Leaving his students behind and exclaimed that he has his own life to protect, I think it was a cowardly act, but I won't blame him for being selfish though. Heros aren't born, its more about making choices that make you one. And being through army makes one realise that, in times of danger or trouble, its natural for one to care for himself. But to sacrifice and think for others, its about taking that extra difficult step out of your comfort zone. In the end, its all about taking chances and making choices. That teacher chose an easy way out, compared to another honourable tutor who shielded 4 students that made it out alive, while giving up his own life. That 'selfish' teacher made that choice, while the other tutor chose and saved 4 young lives. I don't admire the former's decision, neither can I fault him much. So, make a decision that you won't regret, at least that's what both of them got out of it.

Make each day a better past for tomorrow.
