band days

Everyone (almost, at least)
I couldn't remember the purpose of the camp, but I guess it was to bond the J2 together and practice for Open House or something. I think the bonding part was the highlight and I would say it was quite successful, with the many games and activities that the gaming committee (Mei Jun, Jin Jie, & Me) came up with.

Cavaet with the wobbly legs. I can still remember him wandering off while being blind-folded and everyone ended up searching for him.

The candle Game which I can't recall how it's played. Haha.
In addition, we had our individual Section performances, with some help from other sections. Haha. Somewhat showcased the different talents we had in ourselves. Haha. To think I was still having that Center-parting hair, sibeh yandao eh?

I believed the finale was the most significant part. Especially the piece 'Bolero' we played, with a massive strength of almost everyone in Band. Haha. Still vividly remember Ruth with the Bassoon that's almost twice her height, Chong Ying & Tessa having 'fun' with the running notes, and Shimin trying very hard not to be affected by them, Jin Jie dancing around with his hugh Tuba while Wei Qi & Jun Long struggling to dance in steps with him, David trying hard not to look as thin as the Clarinet & of most important, I remembered everyone enjoying while we played that piece.
Me introducing the Cast.
Band was a place I called home during my stay in NYJC. I made a lot of friends there and learnt a lot about other stuffs. Music playing was also improved and reached another level. Its just a pity we didn't end it with a SYF Gold Award, but still, the effort was well worth it. I am sure we will never forget each other in due time to come.
