Werid friday
Well, it is 2015 on a Friday night, and I am still at Hall, eating Subway alone.
Obviously bored, I am here trying to blog about anything that comes to my mind now. Haha. Wei Yen better thank me for waiting for him while he does his 'project'. Haha. Well, to sum things up, life hasn't gone that bad since the last week. Seriously, what could be worse than that?
It wasn't exactly negative to begin with. Heh. Someone once told me that when you reached the bottom of the pit, the next step is usually upwards.
It's nice having Psychology mates like Jane, Huiqi and Corrine around. Each of them gives you a whole new taste to University life. Corrine is like Alice in Wonderland, and she never fails to cheer me up with her 'blur' character. Seriously, who can still get lost in NTU at this point of time? Haha. Somehow I can see the Geok Leng in her, but she has a much stronger character. Well, it isn't a bad thing to be so innocent at our point of life now. At least, she isn't a familiar face I can spot in this ugly society. Huiqi, on the other hand, makes me feel at ease. Haha. Her slow-paced life just shows that there are much more other things to savour in this World, rather than following ambition-driven plans blindly. Haha. Jane is the one that will keep the 4 of us on our toes. She is somewhat the serious one, and just looking at her will remind us of what we came here for. Haha. Well, life can't be that bad when you are hanging out with them, right?
Of course, I can't forget Carmen but I guess there isn't much to elaborate. Haha. I just hope we keep things going for a long time to come. Je t'aime.
On a side note, I sat in for a Linguistics lecture on Wednesday and I felt discriminated. Haha. The lecturer asked if anyone know the word 'stingy' in Hokkien, and in less than a split second, I found Xin Ying and Carmen looking at me. Hey, is Hokkien the only thing you can associate me with? I wished you guys remember me for other more positive and productive characteristics though. Haha. But nonetheless, Linguistics was pretty interesting, you know, analysing how people use words and how language evolved since the past. Haha. Then again, sitting for exams is another thing. Haha.
A long weekend ahead, but I guess it's no respite for most of us. Haha. Don't get yourself burnt out, though probably there isn't much time for us to burn anyway.
Tessa's and Wanrong's 21st coming up. Haha. At least I got some activities to look forward amidst studying.
