New Year
Happy New Year Everyone!
It's the start of the new year! I hereby wish everyone a peaceful and smooth-sailing year. For those who have entered University not long ago, I wish you people good luck for your upcoming studies! For those who are going for exchange or is already there, take care of yourself over there, and enjoy the experience!
2008 has been a hectic year. I came out of army, raging to enter University. I went in, to find out that it is a whole new playground for us. The style of studying is slightly different 2 years back, and isolation from books during the times in army hasn't helped much in adapting back to student life.
I started work in Compact with Aloysius in January, and made a new bunch of friends, the CASTaway gang. Even though we don't meet up often now, I believe we still remain as a gang. They were the ones who tide me through the 6 months before University. And again, thanks to Aloysius, my forever nemesis, I had much fun, joy and laughter.

I entered University into a faculty that only a few of my friends are brave enough to enter. The Social Sciences department is one filled with uncertainty, especially for a person who has only handled Mathematical formulas and HCl his whole life. Nonetheless, I went for FOC and luckily, made incredibly crazy friends. Without them, I probably would have struggled through my first semester. The results in first semester wasn't very ideal. Now that the next semester is starting, it's time to put the average results behind and hunt for better grades. Buck up, Yong Xiang.

Also, not forgetting my family and friends who have stuck with me throughout the year, Brotherhood, S3A, S6B and the band people have pulled me along across the year, provided fun and joy as well as a shoulder to rely on in times of need. I hope these groups never disintegrate and remain together till as long as they can. =)

And of course, I found a girl who is willing to go through thick and thin with me. Despite all the things that have happened, I am very happy that we are still together. Thanks, dear. <3

Last but not least, I want to wish Xiao hui and Chong Ying all the best in their exchange programs overseas, even though I didn't manage to send the both of them off. =x Enjoy yourselves there.
I didn't manage to come up with any resolutions for 2008, but I did force myself to create one list of resolutions this year. Here goes:
1) Get a GPA of 4.2 at the end of 2009.
2) Stay attached.
3) Get a driving licence.
4) Go Taiwan.
5) Learn how to play the guitar.
6) Stay in touch with friends that I lost in 2008.
7) Run 50% of the time Wei Yen asks me to go running.
The bitterest tears shed over graves are for words left unsaid, and deeds left undone.
New year. No Turning Back. No regrets.
There's all for now I guess.
