last day

Its been a rather long while since I last posted.

Finally, its has come to the time where I leave my current job. I wasn't expecting any grand farewell, but I did received well-wishes from some. Haha. People like Sun Yan & Rahmah, certainly made me want to stay for a few more months. But its time and I got to leave. But I think Kelly will be most affected, when all of us leave one by one. She's one kind-hearted soul that I have met in Compact. Surprisingly, I got well-wishes from new staffs that I don't really know too, Seok Boon, Michelle, Siw Thing & Jasmine all had a certain say in making me feel 依依不舍. Haha. Weirdest of it, is when Priscilla came and ask for my number, & I thought I really struck lottery. And as usual, Ying Peng completely forgotten about me. Haha. Oh wells, thanks for the memories and knowledge you people have given, and I promise I will pay a visit once in a while.

S6B went to send Chris off at Changi Airport Terminal 3 last Sunday. More and more people flying off for either studies or attachment. Up next would be Sok Fong and Jasmine. Its a hearty reunion as usual, although its a pity some missed it, cause Wai Kit is back for a short vacation. I have given up waiting for Yang Jie to send me the photos. Shall get it here when I receive it in the future.

Looking even further back, CASTAWAY had its farewell BBQ the Friday 2 weeks ago, signifying the end of our carefree lifestyles and the plunge into University life. You can find more details on Wei Chuan's blog. But I am quite sure we enjoyed ourselves with the silly yet entertaining games from Aloysius. At least all of others were sporting enough to get involved, Joseph especially. Haha. I must thank Hooi Shan and Li Xia for attending this function when the invitation was given so last-minute, their efforts are greatly appreciated.

Up next is the Band dinner on Tuesday night. The turnout wasn't great, as there were many held up with meetings, projects and late-night work. So in the end, Angeline, Jun Long, David, Ruth & Wei Qi couldn't make it at the last minute. I shared a seafood platter for 5 with the 3 divas and guess what. I almost died choking on a plastic fragment inside the fried fish. We lodged a complaint and we got the whole seafood platter changed and for free. In addition, we also got the service charges and GST waived. Haha. For the first time, we ate a seafood platter for free.

I have started work at my new workplace, and I would say the progress is pretty good. Now is to see the boss' reactions to my summary report of my first week. Actually, I must thank Nevin and Hui Juan for it, if not I could have never do so well. Hanging out with Nevin is awfully fun, with all kinds of lame jokes and stuffs that are out of the World. We even went to KBox together with Jasmine on Wednesday.

And for yesterday, as we were feeling up for it, we travelled to Lavendar (Army Market) to eat the famous Claypot Rice. Haha. I am thinking whether I am crazy but still, we ended up there. The waiting process was quite agonising and we ended eating much of the burnt rice, due to my over-enthusiasm. Thinking back, actually it tasted not bad at first. Haha.

I met up with Wei Qi for a round of ice-cream at Kovan after that. I didn't expect her sudden craving for durians and I was subsequently invited to accompany her. Haha. She's one busy girl I must say, I only get to meet her once a year. As for next year, she will be flying off to New Zealand and USA for Industrial Attachment and a Band Festival respectively. I wonder if I will be the same when I enter NTU.

Just got home from Liquid Kitchen at Serangoon Gardens. Went out to chill with Alvyn and gang after my family dinner. I haven't heard of this place before, and I quite liked it. The ambience is good and so are the seats. Moreover, we met some friends from NY there, as well as someone else too. Haha. Shane, you know right? I gulped down 2 bottles of Heineken, but I guess its no big deal. I am really a big drunkard.

All these recent events explain why I am so tired nowadays.

But at least I am happy.

1700 Hrs at NYJC tomorrow, weekly Basketball meet with 04S3A.
