Alvyn's back

Alvyn's back in Singapore, and I went to have lunch with him this afternoon. He had lots to share about the training there, and I am glad he came back in one piece. With this, I believe we can start playing soccer soon! Haha. If I've got the chance, I would also want to go there to train once. Maybe its time to go and meet up with the little kids who went too.

Hougang Mall has changed much since the Secondary school days. The post office is shifted to the 4th floor while there are a whole new chain of restaurants opened in the 2nd floor, where NTUC used to be. The standard of living is getting higher, or rather, the cost of it. One plate of Wanton Mee costs $3.50 now, and its lesser than before. Oh god. Went to pay some phone bills. My brother's costs $80 plus, how on earth can someone uses close to 2000 sms per month?

Anyway, Alvyn bought Winning Eleven 2008, and its for XBOX 360, so I went to his house to try it. To our dismay, the console was down. What a bummer. Someday I will play it, I tell you.

On the way back, I saw some kids from my block. Sadly, I don't even know any single one of them at all. Remembering the past where I used to play with my neighbours and go to their houses. And now I am the only one left. The rest have already shifted house elsewhere. My generation moved, leaving the older one behind. Hougang is an aging town, with people like me growing old at a rapid speed. The renovation of the lift to make it stop at every floor proves this. Haha. Soon, I am going to join the older generation.

One day, you might just see me playing Chinese Chess at the void deck with a few packets of Kopi-O.
