2 parades
Finally I am back at home. This time enjoying a full weekend. Its has been rather busy as there are 2 parades back-to-back since last week. The one this week was rather major with the SAF band coming in and play as well as the Chief of Army present at the parade. Well, saw a few familar faces in the band: Jun Yang, Joel and Jing Chong.. Looking back, if I have accepted the SAF band offer, I would be with them performing for this parade. But I have chosen the combatant path, and I am rather proud to be where I am now.
Well, at least the band barbeque is still on tomorrow, although a few have pulled out of it.. Whatever the case, should anticipate the meeting of everyone tomorrow night. Looks like there are a lot of things to prepare.
The coming months are going to be very tough, yes, very very tough. Why? Its is due to the fact that senior instructors will be going on course till some time later. Well, this means that we junior people will miss them in action and have to do the rest of the things ourselves. Without them, there will be a lot less fun and people to share woes with. But actually, they need to go on course to further their army career, so its very important to them hence, no matter how tough it gets, I bet we (Aloysius & Me) will strive hard and support the current course till they come back, which is like the time we are leaving army. Haha.
You know, maybe I grumble a lot and stuff, but after one week, I think its back to the old me. Haha.. The never-say-die spirit is certainly working.
It has been a mentally taxing 2 weeks to get by in camp.
Time to catch up with civilian life. Woot!
