tired day at Ubin
I woke up early in the morning and headed down to Tampines, before taking a bus to Changi Village. It's been a while since I last visited Tampines, with the last time being there to play soccer. Tampines 1 looks rather grand, and they have 2 storey-ed Esprit and Topshop. Haha. I browse through most of the shops as it was still too early for them to have started business.
Ubin was fun, but tiring. I can't imagine the freshman hiking more than 10km in the mosquito infested trails on that island. Then again, I am not the one hiking. Haha. Somehow, it reminds me of the environment back in Tekong. Haha. I almost got bitten by a green snake, thank god my yell frightened it more than it frightened me. Haha. Planning games at Ubin is quite a tough chore, and I think we are the only 2 programmers who actually visited their games site. Hope they don't change the plan back to field games. This FOC is creating a big hole in my wallet. I have to pay $85 dollars for both senior and actual camp, on top of the HSS bash at Ettica. Haha. Obviously, I ain't going no Ettica, but still, I will contribute to the treasury.
Anyway, I didn't see a single soul of S3A there. Did you guys even go?
I am feeling very motivated not to let this holidays go to waste. In order to uphold and retain the independence that I treasured so much, I need to start working. If not, I can start singing at Wheelock's Place. And with more financial stability, I can organise outings! I have decided to resume driving after 2,533,653 of my friends had overtook me in getting a driving licence! Haha. How's that procastination for you? I will finish my FOC Games proposal as soon as possible.
Hence forth, I shall not let this sudden surge of motivation go to waste.
On a side note, I went to Tampines Library attempting to borrow a book for Carmen, Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children. However, I was denied access to borrowing, so I decided to approached the counter despite smelling of dried sweat and salt. I found out that I was 'archived' due to the fact that I have not been borrowing books for ages. Seriously, am I old enough to be even 'archived'? I shall borrow more books and start reading.
