Finally the day
Finally comes the day where I collect my pink IC. Its nothing great I guess, considering the fact that millions did that before me. But still, it was a reluctant pleasure to be in possession of that little card again.
12 hours before I was able to collect my IC, I was offered a lucrative deal of extending my ORD date, to 6 months later. I guess the department will be hurting for help when some of the other regulars are occupied with other commitments. The Head Training Officer came down and offered to help me write a petition for the purpose of extending my ORD date. Haha. It feels good to be needed.
But in the end, I didn't take up the offer due to some reasons. But at one point of a time back in October, I did thought of extending ORD date, since I will have nothing to do till I enter University. Haha. In the end, I still think I can do more meaningful things outside. Still, leaving with a heavy heart is never easy. SSG Wu, one of my closest colleagues, drove me out and treated my lunch. Haha. I can't possibly express all my gratitude for those that have changed my life for the better. My buddy was a main part of it, without him, I doubt life in army would be ever so interesting. Haha, guess I am really fortunate. Although I didn't like some in the department, we still worked and slogged through the hard times together.
But I still got chased away by some anyway. Asking me, "Eh, why haven't go yet? Don't want to leave ah?" A bit irritated of course, but it couldn't stain those memories that conjured when I said good-bye. This is my weakness eh?
