Studies..

Just woke up not long ago.. Went over to Alvyn's house yesterday night and watched soccer.. Its been so long since we had such a gathering.. And yes, Kang was grumbling that his leg was rather 'itchy', due to the fact that we haven't been kicking a soccer ball for ages.. Busy with our lives, 难得 Chinese New Year gave us a chance to step out of our hectic schedules and catch up with our loved ones.. Haha.. Basically, holidays rock.

Have come to realise that, Kang and Alvyn will most probably further their studies overseas.. Kang will be serving his Navy bond for 5 years before heading over to Newcastle (probably, not confirmed) and study.. He has great interest in the Marine Industry, and the industry seemed to have no lack of golden opportunities.. From being a Naval architect, to a all-round surveyor, to a delicate shipyard engineer, I am sure the latter part of his life will definitely prove to be a good challenge and he will enjoy that... All the Best to my good old buddy.

As for Alvyn, he will heading to United Kingdom and further his studies there.. I think he will be taking history related courses, like Asian historic studies and contemporary history. Up to now, he already has quite a few offers from universities of Leicester, Leeds, Nottingham and some others that I couldn't remember.. Haha.. I browsed through the brochures, and took a look at the hostels there.. Wah, 'sibeh swee eh'.. Haha.. Its like having your own family living in a big cottage.. I only get to live in cottages when I play monopoly.. I think I will have a Caucasian 大嫂 soon in the near future.. Haha.. If we got chance, I will definitely go visit him when he is there.. Haha.. He is equipped with good culinary skills.. This case, my food and lodging will be spared when I visit there.. Haha.. Good thinking, eh? This is what brothers are for. =p Think he will be very successful there.. All the best to you too bro.

As for me, it still remains as a big question mark on whether I will be taking up the challenge of studying in FASS.. I believe that the course that I want to take is quite popular and in demand, which brings up a point to me that, in NUS, the bidding system is the thing that determines what you study.. It doesn't matter how good you score in your A's.. That is the thing that I am having doubts and hesitating over. Whereas, if I head to NTU, it will be direct honors for Psychology, and ever since I have been posted to Sungei Gedong, I have more chances to interact with students from there and even made visits there. Haha.. I am waiting for last year A Levels' results to be release, so that I can try my luck applying.. If I get accepted into NTU, maybe I will change my mind... Definitely not forgetting the scholarship that I had in mind.. This time, I want to get it.

Looks like the few of us will part for some time, while we are eagerly furthering our studies and pursuing our dreams.. Can't help but think back the times when we 'chong-ed' together... Inseparable as we are in the past, I think distance will never make any difference to us. At least that is what I believed in..

Maybe next time when I am chilling in a pub watching soccer, Newcastle United vs Manchester United, I see a familiar face in a Newcastle jersey on the pitch, and in excitement, I called the other and found out that, he is in on the pitch on the opposite side....

I am thinking too much.
