First day of CNY
First day of Chinese New Year.
As usual, my parents and I will visit my maternal grandparents on the first day.. Its a heartwarming gathering at 4-Room flat at Woodlands.. I guess its has really been a year since I last saw them.. Haha.. Truly felt the family warmth today.. Thinking back about the past where I was much younger, we would be the centre of focus.. Now we have passed on the limelight to the younger and cuter ones..
I met my elder cousin.. He is one year older than me, now serving NS and graduated from Polytechnic.. And without a doubt, our main chat topic was on Army.. He slimmed down a lot after he entered army, I think he suffered quite a bit there.. Haha.. Saw my 4th youngest cousin, still an 'ah lian', currently studying in Shatec, and attached to an 'ah beng'.. I don't know what is she thinking, like no plans for the future at all (shakes head)... Then saw my 2 youngest cousins, they are seriously adorable.. Haha..

But I guess the highlight was the appearance of my long lost cousin.. My grandparents seriously missed her lots.. Something happened to her when she was very very young... I can't imagine how she went through all that.. But she has matured over the years and I am very glad that she is handling her life well.. I guess she is the only thing left that my grandparents can harbor on..
I went to pick her up from Seng Kang, bearing the fact that I was in Woodlands.. Haha.. My 4th uncle was driving while I was guiding.. Haha.. Almost lost my way.. Looking at the picture, I think my grandparents were elated to see her.
Played a bit of mahjong today.. Haha.. Didn't wanted to play, but my dad needs to go off.. So I took over his place.. Haha.. I am all warmed up.. Hehe..
Will be doing another visit tomorrow, although it will be a less anticipated one.
Really enjoyed myself today.
