Back from a tiring week. Did guard duty on Sunday, and the following Monday was Instructors' Preparation Course. Its to prepare us instructors for the upcoming courses. Was rather exhausted due to the lack of sleep, but oh well, I survived through it.
You know, in the army, there aren't definite good or bad guys. Unlike schools or in dramas, there isn't really a clear line drawn between the two extremes. That's probably the case in the outside society too. Everyone in this organisation is fighting for their own survival; their own livelihood. There are all kinds of tactics people can use to climb up the corporate ladder, from the dignified and honourable method to the lowdown and underhand means.. But their main purpose behind all these actions is roughly similar. There are people who dislike the army so much, but yet couldn't afford to leave the organisation, just because they are so dependant on the few thousand dollars they bring home to feed mouths. Faced with hierarchy suppression and lack of opportunities, all they can do is suffer in silence and slog till their worth gets depleted and replaced by younger and more vibrant talents.. Sometimes, its just the ways of life that force one to deviate and succumb to unscrupulous methods to survive.
I had a dream in camp this week. I dreamt that I received a message from a close friend asking on me. When I woke up and realised that it was a dream, I was rather disappointed, knowing the fact that now we have drifted apart, due to some misunderstandings.
Well, I took leave on Friday. It will be another long weekend for me, before I begin the marathon in training.
